Totals Sport Bet
A Totals Sport Bet is also known as an over / under bet. The bettor wagers that the actual combined total score of both teams will be over or under the number displayed in his bet. The winning team is irrelevant to this bet. Totals rules are as follows:
If the actual combined total score of both teams is equal to the number displayed in his Totals bet, the bet is no action.
The odds are $1.10 to win $1.00 (-110) unless otherwise indicated.
On certain events, the bettor can adjust the odds by buying points.
The bettor cannot place Totals bets on opposing teams.
The bettor can combine a Money Line or Point Spread bet with a Totals bet.
The Total amount may change between the time he places his bet and the time the event starts; regardless, his bet is subject to the Total amount displayed at the time he placed his bet.

Just by flipping a coin, sports bettors will be right 50% of the time. At odds of 10/11, only 52.4% of the sports bettors' wagers have to win for them to overcome the bookmaker's profit and break even, so they only need a very small edge to become a winner.
